SURGERY HAS BEEN SCHEDULED
Owen had his cleft surgeon appointment yesterday, he is scheduled for his surgery on Friday, February 1, 2008! I am VERY nervous about it, but have complete faith in the surgery team who will be performing his surgery. If all goes well Owen will be in the hospital only one night, if he is having any challenges or in alot of pain then two nights. I will be able to stay with him in his room which really makes me feel better, I don't want to leave him there alone.
I am giving my notice on Monday, January 7th and my last day will be Friday, January 18th! I am already having anxiety about telling my boss, I've been with Omni Hotels for 10 years!! It is going to be very weird not working here, but I know that I am making the right decision and that Owen will be better off because of it.
We've also planned Owens Baptism, it will be Saturday, March 22nd during the Easter Vigil Mass. We are planning a small dinner party with just our immediate family and then in the summer we will have a Welcome Owen BBQ!
I guess that it's for now, so much has been going on I haven't had the chance to download our pictures, but will do that over the weekend!

What great news! I am so glad that you have Owen's surgery scheduled. Thanks for leaving me a note on my blog. I have been running around crazy lately and have not had a chance to stop by in a while. That's fantastic news that you will be home with Owen after his surgery. I was very thankful also to be home after Sofia's surgery. You are such a great mommy and the doctors are going to do a magnificent job. John and I still can't believe how our Dr. did it all. It is truly amazing. Just be prepared, it will be upsetting to see Owen swollen after the surgery and he will be in a lot of pain, but I know that he will bounce back amazingly quick, especially since he is so young,We will be thinking of you guys.
Hugs,
Jonni
