KINDERGARTEN

So my little guy has started kindergarten. It is a bitter sweet moment for me. I feel like just yesterday we were walking off a plan from China holding my hand a sooooo unsure of what was going on around him. Now, he walked up to his teacher with his back pack on not holding my hand and very sure of himself. He turned around once, to give me a wave and walked into school.

I know I should be happy that he is adjusted and ready for this next chapter of his life and I am happy, but I want to hold on to just a little piece of that little shy boy who still needed me to make it o.k.

Next week he needs to start after care, I am already having aniexty of him walking out of school and not seeing me and having to go across the street to the after care program. I don't know how I am going to explain this to him.
